Social Media - Foundation For Your Awareness Activities
Every company needs to have a social media presence and keep those pages up to date. Having a strong social media presence can help an IP company to increase brand awareness, reach a wider audience, and showcase its expertise in the field, ultimately leading to potential business opportunities and partnerships.
Below are some simple tips to improve your social media and create awareness:
1. Improve Your LinkedIn Page (It is as important as the company page)
Update your profile regularly with new projects, skills, and accomplishments.
Customize your profile URL to make it more memorable.
Add a professional headshot and make sure it’s up-to-date.
Include a personalized, keyword-rich headline.
Use the “Summary” section to tell your story.
Include relevant media in your profile, such as images, videos, and presentations.
Add rich media to your experience section to bring your work to life.
Use the “Skills & Endorsements” section to show off your skills.
Demonstrate your expertise by joining relevant groups and participating in discussions.
Ask for recommendations and endorsements from colleagues, clients, and partners.
2. Simple Tips To Improve Your LinkedIn Company Profile
Complete your company page. Companies with completed and active pages are more successful at achieving growth objectives. As a minimum, you will need the following:
-Logo (High Quality) & banner
-A good description
-The Type of organization
-Location (city + country)
As an admin of your page, you can invite your connections to follow your company page. You should be using this tool regularly as well as whenever you connect with someone with your profile.
Use the three ‘Hashtags’ (#) on the right side of your page. You must not create hashtags of your own but use hashtags that already exist and have a large follower count. Hashtags will allow you to reach more users organically and therefore should only include ones that have thousands of followers in the best case (depending on the industry). In our case, #trademarks is not a bad place to start.
